Our site contains background and stories about the 5700+ people descended from John Kilkie + Sarah Roddie from Derry, John Halliday +Margaret Jane Rogan also from Londonderry, John Lloyd + Sarah Parry from Cilcain and James Howard + Ann Grey from Yarmouth, around 1720. Over the 300 years since then more than 500 other families have connected by marriage - our site follows as many of them as possible, and all surname groups are valued equally. Although we follow the patrynomic system many of the strongest characters in the family were our women ancestors.
